Brenell Dean,

founder of Dean’s Paralegal Services has diligently and tirelessly served Windsor and the surrounding area since March 2018 in the areas of Small Claims Court and Landlord Representation. Mrs. Dean had many requests to service Clients in new areas of law and Mrs. Dean Answered the Call. In 2020 Dean’s Paralegal Services expanded by bringing on the aid of employees and paralegals.  Mrs. Dean has a unique background in real estate investing and property management. These skills have led to a deeper understanding of the law as it relates to representation at the Landlord and Tenant Board. Mrs. Dean also has 10 years of extensive community service experience, where Mrs. Dean was involved with such organizations as Afforest-UWindsor, Sisters Taking Action for a New Direction, The Downtown Mission, Raising Autism Awareness, Youth Embracing Today’s Youth, the YMCA and Pre-Law Student Society at the University of Windsor. While maintaining a sense of pride in her community, Brenell Completed an Honors Degree in French and Psychology at the University of Windsor. Mrs. Dean holds a B.A. [H] French Studies & Psychology from the University and has graduated from the Paralegal Program at St. Clair College.  Alongside her paralegal practice, Dean returned to St. Clair College in the role of part-time instructor.   Mrs. Dean comes from a family with a rich history in the legal field as a direct relative of Delos Davis, one of Canada’s first black lawyers, the Honorable Justice Dean and others spanning across Canada and the United States. Mrs. Dean’s education and volunteer experience has given her the necessary skills to represent Clients in the Legal Field with the utmost organization and professionalism. Mrs. Dean’s experience in the community gives her in-depth, firsthand knowledge of the area’s unique demographic and legal needs of the community. As a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Mrs. Dean vows to uphold her business ethically and raise every issue fearlessly to the benefit of her Client.

Jessica-Lynn Hicks,

Ms. Hicks has an ingrained passion for Justice and will ensure your desires are properly represented before the Courts. With an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies and Social Justice at the University of Windsor, she graduated from Windsor Law in 2017.

While at Windsor Law, Jessica received the Social Justice Fellowship Scholarship. The scholarship facilitated her internship with the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime in Nairobi, Kenya. During her internship, she received unparalleled experience through her research efforts when studying the effects of HIV on women in Eastern Africa. While a student at Windsor Law, Jessica volunteered as a Student Caseworker for Community Legal Aid to gain a better understanding of all sides to a legal matter. Her Preparation of submission to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women committee on behalf of a nongovernmental organization has cultivated her drafting skills.

Since graduating from Windsor Law, Jessica has continued to foster a deeper understanding legal advocacy, while working in civil litigation layer with a focus on contract law, family law, and administrative law.

After realizing her strong potential for advocacy, Ms. Hicks transitioned to Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers where she can focus on raising every issue to the benefit of her Clients in the areas of Civil and Family Law while branching out to provide representation in underrepresented areas.


Khusvinder Dhillon,

Khusvinder is a Barrister and Solicitor at Dean’s Paralegal Services and Lawyers. Khusvinder graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Wilfrid Laurier University in Criminology and Contemporary Studies.  Mr. Dhillon’s unique employment background in criminal deterrence has given him an extraordinary passion for the Law and the ability to understand all aspects of advocacy. Mr. Dhillon is a proud graduate of the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). Khusvinder became a fully licensed lawyer to practice law in the Province of Ontario in 2020 and has since served the Greater Toronto area. Mr. Dhillon has ample employment experience in financial analysis. He is prepared to offer his abilities and keen review of documents to his Clients in the areas of Real Estate, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. As an up-and-coming real estate lawyer, he wishes to carry on that work in the City of Windsor by empowering the Firm to expand in offering access to justice within new practice areas.


Trevor Scheib,

Trevor is a paralegal at Dean’s Paralegal Services. Trevor has extensive knowledge in the understanding of advocacy and justice as a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2020 with a B.A [H] in Law & Society and with two minors in Criminology and Human Rights. Trevor’s background gives him a rich understanding of the benefits associated with ethics and integrity.  In 2021 Trevor was resolute in his determination to advocate in legal the profession and graduated from the Fanshawe Paralegal Program. Mr. Scheib has ample experience serving his community through various non-profit organizations. This experience has cultivated Trevor’s desire to increase access to justice. Under the direction and supervision of Mrs. Dean, Trevor is determined to utilize his skills to advocate for every issue and serve Clients at Dean’s Paralegal Services. 


Vanessa Morin,

Vanessa is a paralegal assistant at Dean’s Paralegal Services. Vanessa is a proud alumna of St. Clair College where she graduated from the Law Clerk and Paralegal programs.  With extensive experience working in a legal support role within various law firms, her expertise in completing forms and drafting documents is leading-edge.  As an entrepreneur by nature, Vanessa stepped away from the legal field briefly to pursue other interests, but her undeniable passion for advocacy has drawn her back to her paralegal roots.  In addition to leading-edge drafting skills, Vanessa has extensive experience observing numerous cases as a court transcriptionist. Vanessa is working to obtain her paralegal license and is looking forward to expanding her role in a way that allows her to advocate for clients. Given her previous skills, Vanessa will undoubtedly raise fearlessly every issue on behalf of Dean’s Paralegal Services’ Clients.


Hugh Mai,  

Hugh Mai has a degree in Political Science from Western University in London Ontario, having achieved a place on the Dean’s Honor List all three years of his undergrad. After graduating from Western, Mr. Mai chose to pursue Paralegal studies at Fanshawe College. During the course of this experience, Mr. Mai has encountered all sides of the legal profession, giving him a desire to further his education and transition to advocacy. Immediately upon obtaining his paralegal license, Mr. Mai found a passion for representing Clients at the Landlord and Tenant Board. After obtaining a year of experience before the Landlord and Tenant Board, Mr. Mai began to understand the common injustices faced by Landlords, both large corporations and single homeowners. Mr. Mai’s passion to advocate for Landlord’s Rights drove him to seek out his place at Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers where he can raise every issue to the benefit of his Client.
