Brenell Dean
Brenell Dean, founder of Dean’s Paralegal Services has diligently and tirelessly served Windsor and the surrounding area since March 2018 in the areas of Small Claims Court and Landlord Representation. Mrs. Dean had many requests to service Clients in new areas of law and she answered the call. In 2020 Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers expanded by bringing on employees, additional paralegals and eventually lawyers. Mrs. Dean has a unique background in real estate investing and property management. These skills have led to a deeper understanding of the law as it relates to representation at the Landlord and Tenant Board.
Mrs. Dean has 10 years of extensive community service experience including with organizations such as Afforest-UWindsor, Sisters Taking Action for a New Direction, The Downtown Mission, Raising Autism Awareness, Youth Embracing Today’s Youth, the YMCA and Pre-Law Student Society at the University of Windsor.
While maintaining a sense of pride in her community, Mrs. Dean completed an Honours Degree in French and Psychology at the University of Windsor. Mrs. Dean holds a B.A. [H] French Studies & Psychology from the University of Windsor and graduated from the Paralegal Program at St. Clair College. Alongside her paralegal practice, Dean returned to St. Clair College in the role of part-time instructor.
Mrs. Dean comes from a family with a rich history in the legal field as a direct relative of Delos Davis, one of Canada’s first black lawyers, the Honorable Justice Dean and others spanning across Canada and the United States. Mrs. Dean’s education and volunteer experience has given her the necessary skills to represent clients in the legal field with the utmost organization and professionalism. Mrs. Dean’s experience in the community gives her in-depth, firsthand knowledge of the area’s unique demographic and the legal needs of the community. As a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Mrs. Dean vows to uphold her business ethically and raise every issue fearlessly to the benefit of her client.

Jessica-Lynn Hicks
Ms. Hicks has an ingrained passion for Justice and will ensure your desires are properly represented before the Courts. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies and Social Justice from the University of Windsor, and she graduated from Windsor Law in 2017.
While at Windsor Law, Ms. Hicks received the Social Justice Fellowship Scholarship. The scholarship facilitated her internship with the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime in Nairobi, Kenya. During her internship, she received unparalleled experience through her research efforts when studying the effects of HIV on women in Eastern Africa. While a student at Windsor Law, Ms. Hicks volunteered as a Student Caseworker for Community Legal Aid to gain a better understanding of all sides to a legal matter. Her preparation of a submission to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women Committee on behalf of a nongovernmental organization cultivated her drafting skills.
Since graduating from Windsor Law, Ms. Hicks has continued to foster a deeper understanding of legal advocacy, while working as a civil litigation lawyer with a focus on contract law, family law, and administrative law.

Somayeh Rasouli
Ms. Rasouli obtained her law degree from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Ms. Rasouli spent countless hours working with Community Legal Aid where she provided legal services to low-income clients a variety of matters, giving her the ability to focus her attention in a variety of areas of law.
Specifically, she has gained valuable litigation experience from regularly appearing before the Provincial Offences Court, Small Claims Court, and the Ontario Court of Justice. Ms. Rasouli spent time working directly under the mentorship of a reputable Windsor Criminal Law Lawyer and appeared regularly in the Ontario Court of Justice, advocating for accused persons in indictable and summary conviction offences. Ms. Rasouli offers Criminal Defense and Small Claims Court representation at Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers.
In addition to Ms. Rasouli’s passion for in-court advocacy, Ms. Rasouli has vast experience completing immigration documents and advising clients when navigating the legal system when entering Canada. Ms. Rasouli currently oversees the Immigration Team at Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers and assists Clients when navigating the immigration system while entering Canada.
Prior to attending law school, Somayeh obtained her Bachelor of Science (Hons. with Distinction) in Biological Sciences from the University of Windsor. This has given her an uncanny attention to detail. Somayeh’s diverse background equips her with the understanding and skills to zealously advocate for clients.

Trevor Scheib
As a paralegal, Mr. Scheib has extensive knowledge and deep understanding of advocacy and justice. As a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2020 with a B.A [H] in Law & Society and with two minors in Criminology and Human Rights, Mr. Scheib’s background gives him a rich understanding of the benefits associated with ethics and integrity. In 2021 Mr. Scheib was resolute in his determination to advocate in the legal profession and graduated from the Fanshawe Paralegal Program.
Mr. Scheib has ample experience serving his community through various non-profit organizations. This experience has cultivated Mr. Scheib’s desire to increase access to justice. Under the direction and supervision of Mrs. Dean, Mr. Scheib is determined to utilize his skills to advocate for every issue and serve clients at Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers.

Hugh Mai
As a paralegal, Mr. Mai found a passion for representing clients at the Landlord and Tenant Board. After obtaining a year of experience before the Landlord and Tenant Board, Mr. Mai began to understand the common injustices faced by Landlords: both large corporations and single homeowners. Mr. Mai’s passion to advocate for landlords’ rights drove him to seek out his place at Dean’s Paralegal Services & Lawyers where he can raise every issue to the benefit of his client.
